Artistic Hub, an interactive design competition and printing provider and a subsidiary of San Diego’s Collar Free, Inc., is organizing a national series of social media workshops titled “Using Social Media Successfully in Business.” The first event in the series is April 11 from 9am - 5pm at San Diego State University.

The goal of the workshop is to teach small business owners, professionals, and students how to practically implement social media tools to build social capital with customers.

“It’s essential for corporations to build social capital, but to do so; they need to know where to start. Social Media tools are not one size fits all,” said Jimmy Hendricks, co-founder, Collar Free, Inc.  “We thought it was important to have workshops, hands-on workshops, to really teach people how to start accounts.  We wanted to teach individuals which social media tools are necessary, and how to use those tools on the spot.  We’ve found that once people get started, they have enough confidence to implement these tools and become successful at leveraging Social Media.”

The cost of the workshop is $149 and you can register here.
