Check out the award-winning, energy-efficient 80,000 square-foot addition that will further position
the San Diego Supercomputer Center as a key resource for industry and educational research.

The theme is “Trends in High Performance and Data-Intensive Computing – Challenges and Benefits
for Science & Industry.”  Key SDSC staff members and researchers will be on hand to discuss
how the latest developments in this rapidly advancing field impact industry and future innovation.

Topics to be covered include cloud computing, digital data storage and preservation,
application development for high-performance computing architectures, data mining, and
online tools for the life sciences. A Continental breakfast will be served prior to the briefings.
A tour of the new building and the data center highlighting their design and capabilities
will be offered following the presentations.
